Durban's Amphitheatre Flea Market takes place every Sunday in the
Durban Beachfront. The flee market is situated on the famed Golden Mile, between
Bay of Plenty and an imposing strip of hotels along Durban's beachfront.
The Amphitheatre offers visitors a wide variety of stalls to browse through
and serves as an ideal place to take the kids for a weekend outing, allowing
parents to hunt for the perfect deal while the kids work off their extra energy
on the jumping castle.
The Amphitheatre Flea Market has become well known as one of the best
destinations in Durban to purchase African arts and curios, The market also
houses a wide selection of tempting food stalls which range from traditional
Indian foods like samoosas and rotis to ice creams, snacks and refreshments.
Favourite treats at the market are freshly crushed sugar cane, and fresh
pineapple on a stick sprinkled with a curry masala. Folks can be seen walking
long distances up and down the beach enjoying the popular snack.
