Taking place at the Seaton Delaval Polo Fields, the Ballito Jazz and Prawn Festival is held over the weekend of the Mr Price Pro Surfing Competition (Friday, 08 July to Sunday, 10 July 2011). Similar to the Knysna Oyster Festival, the three-day Prawn Festival focuses on entertainment and family fun and will support various charities associated with Rotary International, Round Table and the Lions Club.
Serving as a showcase for KwaZulu Natal's magnificent North Coast, the Ballito prawn and Jazz Festival will comprise of sports, music, food, crafters market, 5000sqm of kid’s attractions, interior design and outdoor living exhibitions, and of course live jazz performances.
However as the event name suggests the main attraction of the festival will be prawns.
