The Kirstenbosch Biennale is an annual event which takes place in Kirstenbosch in the Western Cape, South Africa. This event’s date has been moved and will not be happening as scheduled in 2012. The Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens will be host to this beautiful event in 2013. (Dates are to be confirmed) As Kirstenbosch is celebrating its centenary in 2013, the decision was made to combine the events during this great celebration as it attracts a lot more visitors, locally and internationally.
This event is open to the public and the whole family will enjoy browsing the gardens and admiring all the exhibits by some of the best botanical artists, locally and internationally. Some of the art at the show will be viewed and then judged by a specialist panel of judges. Medals will be awarded to unique and innovative artistic examples.
This event is unique and focuses on indigenous plants as well as a series of interesting lectures. Don’t miss out on this great event.
