Jan van Riebeeck Mountain Trail/Fun Run & Market Day
The Jan van Riebeeck Mountain Trail / Fun Run & Market Day is an annual event which will be held on the 10th March 2012. The event will take place on the Jan van Riebeeck High School Sorts Fields.
The day is fun filled and the whole family is invited to join in the festivities. There will be so much to see and enjoy from a tea garden with delicious home made goodies to try, a variety of food stalls, fresh produce and a beer tent. The event also offers children loads of fun and activities from face painting, snacks, a circus and much more to keep them entertained. Invite your family and friends to join you and enjoy live music and great company in a festive atmosphere.
There’s a choice of two runs, the 17km Trail Run and the 7km fun run.
7km Fun Run
The 7km run is an enjoyable route with some challenges of its own, including a steep hill or two to the finish. The route also offers stunning views. If you are walking the route it should take approximately 2 hours.
Registration will open at 6:30am on the day and the race will begin at 7am. Prize giving will take place at 10am with great prizes rewarded to all winners as well as a variety of other prizes for fun.

17km Trail Run
The 17km Lions Head Trail Run is a great run through the Table Mountain National Park.
Entry forms are available at www.jvrprim.co.za and the entrance fee is R100.
