This extensive tract of wilderness begins near Uniondale and runs westward along the Kammanassie River towards Dysselsdorp. The flora in the area is a mixture of kloof shrubland, arid fynbos, spekboomveld, waboomveld, and afro-montane forest.
Small numbers of various buck inhabit the reserve including klipspringer, duiker, grysbuck, grey rhebuck, kudu, and mountain reedbuck.
