Foreshore is a beautiful, upmarket area in the Western Cape which lies on the waterways of Table Bay and is conveniently close to all amenities which makes it the perfect holiday destination with loads of activities and attractions nearby.
Attractions:
Foreshore is home to the incredible, upmarket Cape Town International Convention Centre which officially opened in June 2003. This is where most conferences and conventions are held regularly. Another place of interest to visit while on holiday in Foreshore, is the historic Castle of Good Hope which is not to be missed. There are many exhibits such as paintings and the 300kg bell which was fired to warn citizens of danger. There is also a dungeon and a torture room which is exciting and very informative to see. Every January, the streets of Cape Town come alive with painted faces and banjo playing, singing and dancing when the Minstrel Carnivel begins its celebrations.
Climate:
Foreshore is in the Western Cape and enjoys warm to hot summer months with cool to cold winters with snow on the mountains. Most rainfall is during the winter months. |
