The Karoo Gateway and Airport which originally operated as a SAA Airport in the late 1940 until the early 1960's has been beautifully restored and modernized to a Guesthouse. We have created an Oasis in the Semi - Arid Karoo, with our emphasis on cleanliness, comfort and relaxing atmosphere. Your home away from home.

We are conveniently situated on the N1, 11 km outside of Beaufort West, with no noise from the passing traffic on the N1

Our 6 luxury en Suite bedrooms and one self catering cottage are stylishly furnished and decorated to reflect the various colours of the Karoo. Our guesthouse has the following choices of rooms: one twin room, one single room, two double rooms and two family rooms that consist of either a twin or double bed with bunk beds, ideal for a family of four. All our rooms and the self catering cottage has a tea and coffee station, air-conditioning, heaters and TV's with selected DSTV channels. We also have free Wi-Fi for all our guests.

The old Control Tower serves as a lounge with spectacular 360° view of endless plains and the Nuweveld Mountains. The ideal place to sit and relax, sipping sundowners or reading your favorite Author. Not to forget the star gazing of the famous Karoo night skies.

Continental breakfast is served in our cozy dinning room area; we also do full farmhouse style breakfast on request. Mouth watering home cooked meals, such as our world famous Karoo lam with baby potatoes and roasted vegetables can be enjoyed either on the veranda in the warm summer breeze or in the dining room area with a cozy fire crackling in the winter time. We also cater for most dietary requirements.
