Klein Afrika is situated in the heart of the tranquil farming community of Schoemanshoek and is nestled in the foothills of the historically-rich Swartberg Mountain.

The 4 self-catering cottages which are located on a smallholding near Oudtshoorn, are close enough to town for a quick visit, yet secluded enough not to be disturbed by the buzz of people and traffic. Each cottage sleeps a maximum of 6 people and consists of 2 bedrooms. There is a double bed in the main bedroom, and the rest of the beds in the other bedroom are either bunk beds or three quarter beds. Each bathroom has a shower (two cottages have a bath as well), kitchen, living area with fireplace and a big braai (barbeque) area outside. The living area of each cottage is equipped with an air conditioning unit, but please note that there are no television sets in the cottages. We have a swimming pool on the premises, as well as a playground for the kids. Utilise the opportunity to rejuvenate body and soul in the serene setting of the Klein Afrika cottages, with the soothing calls of the ever-present birdlife in daytime, and the call of the jackal at night.

The cottages are fully equipped with the small exception of towels and firewood.

With so many tourist attractions in the vicinity, Klein Afrika is the ideal getaway for a weekend or holiday. Rust en Vrede waterfall (23 km), the world-famous Cango Caves (19 km), the Swartberg Pass (30 km) which leads to GamkasPrince Albert, and Oudtshoorn (8 km) with all its surrounding ostrich farms being only a few of the 'must-sees' in the area. Oudtshoorn is also known for its excellent restaurants with typical Little Karoo and South African food, should you wish to dine out.
