Kohandè is situated in the scenic Leeukloof Valley Conservancy in Gauteng,
just north-east of Pretoria (32km from Zambesi drive) at Dewagensdrift - in the
heart of Dinokeng- which makes it the ideal destination for nature lovers.
Three luxury tents with on suite bathrooms provide accommodation for 2 adults
each (sorry, no children allowed). A fully equipped kitchenette with
fridge/freezer makes self catering a pleasure. Each tent is private with its own
lovely panoramic view over the bushveld where you can relax and enjoy the
extraordinary sunsets and listen to the call of jackals.
Free roaming game like Kudu, Eland, Njala, to name a few, can be viewed at your
leisure. Kohandè is a birdwatcher's paradise with abundant bird life. Parrots,
flycatchers and many more inhabit our valley.
Enjoy your sundowner at the Lapa by our private dam whilst crickets and frogs
entertain you with their own special music!
Each tent has its own "boma" with a braai facility, is private and will allow
you to escape and provide you with the relaxation you crave after a stressful
week.
Kohandè is within easy reach of Pretoria, Johannesburg , East & West Rand as wel
as Oliver Thambo International Airport. We are only 20 km away from Cullinan,
which is renowned worldwide for its diamonds.
The DB Five Game reserve is virtually on our doorstep. The area is malaria free
and boasts a very moderate climate.
