Nestling under the Helderberg Mountain in the valley of the Lourensford River with magnificent views of the Stellenbosch and the Whale Route to Hermanus. The area also boasts, all within easy reach, an excellent Shopping Mall plus a number of local historical sites, a nature reserve, an arts and craft market, numerous scenic drives, together with the Stellenboch Wine Route all right on the doorstep.

In this idyllic surround Lavender Cottage makes the perfect base from which to commence your daily trips or activities.

We offer a comfortable, spacious self-catering cottage which can sleep 2, 4 or 5 persons. The cottage includes a lounge with a TV, a well-equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, a four plate stove with an oven, a microwave and all the necessary crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils, etc. The dinning counter divides the kitchen from the lounge area. The large main bedroom has a shower and toilet en-suite plus a smaller bedroom completes a four single bed sleeping facility. There is an additional bathroom with a bath and toilet. A sleeper couch in the lounge offers a sleeping facility for a fifth person. The cottage has its own private barbeque facility plus its own outside private dining area. The swimming pool is right outside the front door. Secure parking is provided on site.

Somerset West is a thirty minute drive to Cape Town should you wish to take in the City and the well-known 'V&A Waterfront'. We are also in close proximity to four magnificent golf courses including the world class Erinvale Estate (one minute away). A further five courses are all within a thirty minutes drive.

This spectacular setting in the Cape has every thing to offer the discerning visitor.

Somerset West and nearby Stellenbosch as well as Gordons Bay offer numerous nearby first class restaurants should you wish to dine out.
