Le Bijou can sleep up to four people and is situated in the newly built,
Sorbonne security complex in Akademie Street, Franschhoek. It consists of two
double bedrooms two bathrooms, an open plan living/dining room, a fully equipped
kitchen, a safe in the room, a parking bay and its own garage. Two plasma TV's,
a DVD / CD player, a gas fireplace, a wine cellar, air conditioning and under
floor heating add to its charm. Each room has its own luxurious linen, towelling
gowns, towels and pool towels. Cool off in the communal pool before enjoying
quiet evenings on the under cover patio with its own intimate courtyard.
During your stay you can enjoy the various activities that this culinary capital
of South African has to offer. There are many outstanding restaurants to choose
from - some of which are considered among the top 100 in the world! Le Bijou is
within walking distance from the town centre with its many galleries, quaint
local shops and chocolate factory. Be sure to visit the various historical
places that this French corner has to offer. This includes the famous Huguenot
Memorial Museum - built in commemoration of the 300-year-old French heritage of
this very special town. Yearly local festivals not to be missed include the
Bastille Festival held in the middle of July and the Cheese Festival held in
April.
