The amazing view over natural bush and the peace and tranquillity at Leopards
& Louries Bush Lodge make it difficult to believe that the business centres of
Durban, Pinetown and Pietermaritzburg are so close.
Leopards & Louries is an up-market B&B just off the N3 which runs between Durban
and Pietermaritzburg. The Lodge is beautifully decorated in a "rustic but smart"
style with a wildlife theme and has a magnificent view overlooking unspoilt
bushveld with KZN's Table Mountain in the background. Several species of game
may be spotted from the Lodge and the birdlife is exceptional.
Two double bedrooms face the view, are en-suite and offer DStv, tea/coffee trays
and wide shaded verandas. Internet and E-Mail facilities are available. Our
magnificent sun deck is the choice spot for breakfast with a cozy dining room
available for inclement weather. Undercover parking available, in a secure
garden, with remote controlled gates.
Owners John and Pearl are always in attendance to ensure personalized
hospitality. John is a registered Tour Guide and can arrange airport transfers.
A wide range of tours may also be arranged to the many places of interest in Kwa
Zulu Natal such as the Zululand game Reserves - the Big 5, the Battlefields, the
Drakensberg Mountains and the North and South coastlines, as well as local tours
to the cities of Durban and Pietermaritzburg and the Midlands. Tala game Reserve
is very popular for those who do not have time to travel to Zululand and is
situated a mere 15 minutes away from Leopards & Louries.
Many of KZN's most famous private schools are also situated close to the Lodge,
such as Kearsney College, Hilton College, St Charles, St Johns, St Anne's as
well as Maritzburg College.
Some of South Africa's most famous sporting events take place in this region.
The Comrades marathon route runs only 2kms from the Lodge and the Duzi Canoe
marathon takes place on our doorstep.
Other local events are the famous Midmar Mile, the Royal Show, and Art in The
Park and Idube Race meetings.
