Mount West farm cottage is a 4 bedroom period style family home that has been
beautifully restored as a fully equipped, self catering cottage for weekend
getaways. Set on a working farm in a pretty garden adjoining a farm dam and
looking out over the green hills and valleys of the KZN Midlands, it is an ideal
place to explore the surrounding countryside or to just relax.
A front patio opens into a lounge with traditional fireplace, comfortable sofas
and DSTV (bring own card). A separate dining room leads onto a kitchen which has
been completely renovated. The bedrooms (2 with single beds and 2 with double
beds) are situated in two wings of the house; the main bedroom has its own 'en
suite' while the other 3 bedrooms share 2 bathrooms. All bedrooms outlook onto
the garden and dam.
The cottage is serviced daily by a resident maid with milk being supplied from
the farm dairy. Trout fishing is available at an extra fee on one of the 3
close-by dams (front dam reserved for cottage guests) and horse-riding is
available to experienced riders by prior arrangement. The farm surrounds are
perfect for long walks or mountain biking.
The farm is on the 20kms from Netherwood and Providence Wedding Venues, and
30kms from Nottingham Rd Village
15kms of this road is gravel. For those attending weddings and would like a
