Zen in the City! Maison Bordeaux is a charming French-style Guest House
situated in the Johannesburg suburb of Bordeaux, a wooded and quiet corner of
South Africa's busiest city. Bordeaux is centrally situated between Hyde Park,
Sandton and Morningside Clinic are but a stones throw
away.
French elegance appears in the 'fleur de lys' motif on the doors of the
delightful four bedrooms that face each other across the intimate pond-courtyard
and stoep. Cathy has done a tremendous job of renovating the house, creating an
ambience of effortless ease here in the city. An abundance of lavender and roses
makes this a peaceful and tranquil retreat. Scrumptious breakfasts and home
cooked dinners are on offer.
Soothing neutral colours and wooden floors go easy towards the comfort of extra
length King Size beds with percale linen. Each room has television with
Satellite Television, wireless internet connection is available throughout the
house.
Room1 (LUC) has twin beds (extra length) and a courtyard with hydrangeas
- chairs and table for the smoker or just for peace and quiet. (bathroom/ shower
only)
Room 2 (NICHOLAS) has a king size extra length bed with a garden view
from both the windows -(bathroom/ shower only).
Room 3 (JULIANNA) also has twin beds (extra length) with a full bathroom
(bath & shower) and a desk - for the business traveler.
Room 4 (ALEXANDRA) has a large king size extra length bed with a sleeper
couch in the bedroom. A desk is available for the business traveler and a
beautiful view of the garden. This is our Honeymoon suite.
The owners live adjacent to the property so optimal privacy is on offer.
Tea/coffee and rusks are available throughout the day and night in the open
lounge/dining room. Snacks are available on request.
Day trips to any of the wonderful sightseeing venues can easily be arranged.
Transport to and from ORT or Lanseria can be organized.
