Marine View provides self-catering holiday accommodation in a sea view apartment
and garden cottage with communal swimming pool and lock-up garaging.
Conveniently situated to the beach and 15 kms to the harbour, Durban CBD, uShaka
Marine World and sports stadiums. King Shaka International Airport is a 45
minutes drive away.
Whether on business or pleasure, Marine View is the perfect choice for either
short or longer stays. Both units offer guests comfort and privacy in a secure
environment.
Situated in a quiet, coastal suburb of The Bluff, guests can enjoy a walk on the
beach, a swim in the warm Indian Ocean or shopping at one of the Shopping Malls
close by.
Unit 1:
Seaview Apartment situated on the upstairs level (one of only two units),
comprises three bedrooms (main bedroom has shower-en-suite), family bathroom and
fourth sleeping area in sunroom recess. Spacious open-plan lounge and diningroom
with equipped kitchen. Ceiling fans throughout and colour TV with shared
satellite. Separate entrance and lock-up garage for one vehicle. Secure parking
for second vehicle/trailer can be arranged on request. Comfortably sleeps seven
guests.
Unit 2:
Garden cottage comprises one bedroom (double bed) with shower-en-suite and two
single beds in the separate open-plan living/kitchen area. Ceiling fans
throughout and personal remote air-conditioner. Garden view and lock-up garage.
Sleeps maximum four guests.
General:
- Linen and towels are provided (except for beach towels).
- Equipped kitchens with stove/oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, etc..
- Laundry service available.
- No children allowed under 5 years of age.
- No smoking allowed inside the units.
- No pets allowed.
- Meals can be ordered in from take-aways and restaurants.
Activities:
- Enjoy a stroll on our sandy beaches or a swim in the warm Indian Ocean or tidal pool (15mins. walk away).
- Watch the dolphins at play and do some whale watching or explore the many rock pools at low tide.
- Surfing, body boarding, fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving, golf, mashie
golf, tennis, bowls, etc...
- Relax and enjoy our sparkling pool.
- Take a harbour or sea cruise (15mins. drive).
- Enjoy a day at uShaka Marine World (20mins. drive).
- Take a drive to an African Cultural Village, Game Reserves, St. Lucia Wetlands or the Drakensberg Mountains (2 to 3hrs drive).
Situated:
- 1.5-2kms from local beaches (Ansteys and Brighton), shopping centres,
supermarkets, restaurants and take-aways.
- 3-5kms from Jacobs, Mobeni, Prospecton, Bayhead etc
- 12kms from University, Medical School and Hospitals.
- 15kms (20 minutes drive) to central Durban, ICC, uShaka Marine World,
main Durban beachfront, soccer/sports stadiums.
- 2-3 hours drive to Game Reserves, St. Lucia Estuary/Wetlands and
Drakensberg Mountain range etc..
