Located in the Northern Cape Province, the biggest and safest province in
South-Africa, approximately 58Km north west of the diamond digging city of
Kimberley.
Here you can come and relax in the African Kalahari Bushveld Savannah amidst the
Camel-thorn trees. Enjoy your evenings in our air-conditioned luxury restaurant
and bar and experience true South-African cuisine. For the wine connoisseur we
also provide an extensive wine selection in our underground wine cellar along
with a cigar collection from around the world.
Relax at the pool after a hot day or partake in any of our numerous activities
at Mattanu or the surrounding area. Activities include Helicopter Game Viewing,
Hands-on Game Capture tours, Fly-fishing trips, Game Drives, Quad biking, Ghost
tours, The Big Hole visitors centre, spa treatments and many more. Any day trip
can be arranged with the use of Mattanu's private R44, 4-seater, leather seats
and air-conditioned helicopter.
We can accommodate between 2 and 10 people in our luxury thatch roof, stone
built chalet. The air-conditioned chalet is fully furnished and equipped and
perfect for self-catering with family or friends.
Our five luxury en-suite tents can sleep 10 guests. Tents all have
air-conditioning, under-floor heating, mini-bar, jet spa bath and private deck.
The restaurant, with underground wine cellar and cigar bar is the perfect venue
for any conference, wedding or function of up to 150 guests. We also have a
fully equipped lapa and deck facility, amidst the Camel Thorn trees, for any
function and can cater for groups of up to 80 people. The swimming pool with its
rock feature waterfall and thatched roof island centre can serve as a great
wedding chapel.
Daily Game Drives are included in our accommodation packages and a unique
Helicopter Game Viewing or bushveld dinner fly-in experience can be arranged
with Mattanu's private helicopter. Have a hands-on experience with Mattanu's
professional game capture team on their daily immobilization and translocation
service. Our Quad Bike rides are also very popular. Mattanu Private Game Reserve
is very special in its wildlife and bird life and this makes for great filming
and photographic safaris. We also cater for the eco-friendly green hunter as
well as different trophy hunting packages.
