Hartiebeespoort ( also called Harties) is the heart of the Valley stretching from Pretoria to Rustenberg and includes the Cradle of Mankind & Magaliesberg. Early Tswane people settled. The Zulu chief Mazilikatsie conquered the territory but inturn were pushed out by the Voortrekers.

Today the Valley has some of South Africa's best Health Spa's, art galleries and surrounded by many private game parks. Harties is the heart of the Valley with all with in 30 minutes drive. Not forgetting the Lost City/Sun City/Pilansberg game park which is one hour drive.
