A modern north facing studio apartment, recently renovated to a very high
standard, situated in a quiet part of the city bowl. It is a short walk away
from the Gardens Centre, which has great grocery stores, cafés and services such
as a laundry and within a less than 10 minute drive of the mountain, beaches,
city, waterfront and the green point football stadium. Oranjezicht is one of the
most exclusive and beautiful residential areas of central Cape Town, located
almost directly on Table Mountain itself.
During the recent renovation, much thought has been given by the owners to
maximising the internal space and increasing the light in the apartment. A full
size, very comfortable double bed folds up into the wardrobe during the day. All
internal walls have been removed without damage to the beautiful parquet floor,
so as to increase the light in the north facing apartment - the amount of light
in the apartment is quite extraordinary, but all windows have blinds in case you
want to sleep late. The apartment has tasteful but restrained décor with
significant touches of colour to brighten your time spent there.
The bathroom is a particularly appealing - the owners chose to keep the original
cast iron bath, and there is no shortage of hot water so you can wallow away in
a huge bath at your leisure.
The main studio room opens up onto a large garden with fantastic views of the
mountain, and when you wake up in the morning, you will have a wonderful view
from the bed of the Lion's rump between Lion's Head and Signal Hill. And the
perfectly framed view of Table Mountain from the kitchen window makes cooking in
the fully equipped kitchen a most pleasant experience.
The apartment is in a security block and is very secure. It is fully equipped
with a washing machine, fridge, stove and oven, microwave and most of the
equipment you could possibly need to throw a dinner party for 4 people. It also
has a full size television and Ipod compatible sound system.
