Mountain Mala is a beautiful private game reserve nested between the Langberg
koppies just outside Brits in the Malaria free North West Province. The reserve
is no more than one hours drive from Pretoria or Johannesburg, making it the
perfect weekend getaway! Mountain Mala borders the Crocodile river with a
stunning view of the river valley between the hills. Enjoy assisted game drives
and bush walks with our guides or a sundowner on our deck on top of the highest
koppie, with an amazing 360? view of the surrounding area.
We have a variety of antelope species from Giraffe, Zebra, Impala, Njala, Kudu,
Blue-wildebees, Waterbuck as well as Leopard and Brown Hyena. It is an excellent
bird watching location with hides next to all the waterholes. Mountain Mala is
ideal for self catering groups who want total exclusivity to an entire game
reserve, for group functions, conferences or just a weekend getaway. Mountain
Mala is a self catering lodge but catering can be provided upon request.
We have five chalets and one family room each with their own bathroom. The main
house sleeps nine and is equipped with three bathrooms. There is also a tree
house that sleeps two.
Conference facilities available, up to 20 people. Guided Game drives and Nature
Walks. Sundowners on Deck. Braai at crocodile river. Team building facilities.
Swimming pool with large deck. Two fully equipped kitchens as well as 3 braai
area's. Ideal for functions, family gatherings, birthdays, year end parties.
