Moonglow is situated on the slopes of the Simon's Town Mountains overlooking False Bay with spectacular 180' views across False Bay to the Hotentot Holland Mountain range in the distance. Sit on the deck and watch the whales or read a book and enjoy the views especially at night when the moon rises in the distance and makes a path of light across the bay.

There are 6 well appointed ensuite bedrooms all with seaviews. 4 rooms have queen beds and all rooms have percale linen with hand embroidered duvet covers. Rooms have TV, Fridge, Hairdryer, Tea and coffee tray prepared each evening.

Breakfast is served in the dining room from 7.30 am and includes Fresh Fruit, stewed fruit, fruit juice, cereals, cold meat platter, muffins and bacon, eggs, tomato and mushrooms with either tea or freshly made filter coffee.

Simon's Town is the naval base of South Africa so there is plenty of naval activity in the bay. There are activities such as kayaking in the bay or taking a boat trip to Seal Island and mabe see a Great White shark or two. The Penguin Colony at Boulder's Beach is close by. Cape Point is 20kms away along a very scenic route. The Gemstone Factory is close by and has a fine selection of jewellery.

The train station is close by and one can take a trip into the centre of Cape Town or just travel along the coast to Muizenberg and walk back part of the way along a path created on the rocks at the edge of the sea.

Visit the winelands of Stellenbosch and Franschoek and sample some of the Cape's finest wines and enjoy a meal in one of the many superb restaurants.

Cape Town is a 40 minute drive away to visit Table Mountain, The Castle and the Waterfront wher you can take a ferry to visit Robin Island.

Take a trip along Hout Bay and watch the sun set or see the fishing trawlers return with the day's catch.

A Township tour with Charlotte of our local Township Masiphumeleli is a very warming experience and well worth doing to understand a part of our culture.
