Conveniently located in the heart of town, very close to the Mount Nelson, and one minute's walk from Gardens Shopping Centre, the property nevertheless retains the ambience and feel of an exclusive boutique hotel, sitting within substantial walled grounds protected by electrified fencing, ensuring safety, privacy & secure parking within the property.
Hiddinghof also has a large swimming pool and plenty of space to stretch out and relax. All the apartments are proper, self-contained units, with their own bathrooms, fully equipped kitchens, satellite TV, phones, networked internet connections and individual, monitored alarm systems. Whether a holidaymaker on vacation with a young family, or a working professional in town on business, Hiddinghof can cater for all requirements.

Hiddinghof is just a few minutes by car from the business district. The Atlantic beaches and the cable car up
Table Mountain are also a short drive away. The tourist centre of the City is a 15 minute walk via the beautiful Company's Botanical Gardens where you will find:
- The Planetarium - that will introduce visitors to the wonders of the universe and the science of astronomy.
- The National Gallery - displaying collections of South African, African, British, French, Dutch and Flemish art.
- The South African Museum - is the oldest museum in Southern Africa. Highlights include the Whale Well, Fossils for Africa and a fine collection of San rock paintings and engravings.
- Bertram House - an early 19th century example of a Georgian townhouse.
- Of special note are the furnished period dining room, drawing room & study.
- A little further away, on the edge of Company Gardens you will find Slave Lodge. Dating back to 1679, it is the second oldest building in Cape Town, and was originally used as a lodge for the slaves of the Dutch East India Company.
- The Michaelis Collection - is 15 minutes away, in Greenmarket Square. The collection comprises a world renowned selection of Dutch 17th century 'Golden Age' works of art. The collection contains works by Frans Hals, Jan Steen, Anthony van Dyck and many others.
- Rust en Vreugd - 10 minutes walk down Buitenkant Street, Rust en Vreugd was built in 1778, and is generally accepted to be the finest example of 18th century urban architecture in the country. The house is set within a magnificent period-style garden.
