Welcome
Mountain View Lodge is situated in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, north of
Fort Beaufort and forms part of the Kat River Conservancy, which was founded in
1996. The lodge is situated on 1200 hectares of malaria free natural bush and is
a haven for those who enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature. The lodge is in
a beautiful valley neighboured by Mpofu Nature Reserve on the northern and
western boundary and Fort Fordyce Nature Reserve on the southern boundary.
Accommodation
Mountain View offers three different lodges each with their own unique features,
giving the visitor a choice of sleeping arrangements and facilities.
Intaba lodge:
Three bedrooms (two en-suite) comfortably sleeping 6 adults. Two rooms are
family rooms with a double bunk bed in each. It has a large entertainment area
offering kitchen, dining, bar and lounge with satellite television.
Nature's lodge:
Open plan living with two three quarter beds and two double bunk beds sleeping
six in total. The open plan has a kitchen and lounge and a separate undercover
deck to enjoy outside views and entertainment. The bathroom is separate from
the living area to allow refreshing with views of the valley while showering.
Forest lodge
Two bedrooms (en-suite) comfortably sleeping four adults. One room is a
family room with a double bunk bed. It has a large entertainment area offering
kitchen, lounge and satellite television.
What we Provide:
Our units are fully serviced and equipped self catering units with bedding,
fridges, stoves, microwaves, kettles, toasters, crockery, cutlery and braai
areas with grids. A servant is provided to assist with making beds, cleaning and
washing dishes. Rates do not include laundry services.Activities can be arranged
at an additional charge. Bring own swimming towels for use at pool.

- Hiking (currently no identified hiking trails on the farm, but walking
ad lib is welcomed. Hiking trails may be taken on neighboring nature
reserves when arranged.

Enjoy the breathtaking views in this quiet area with the sounds of wild
animals and abundant birdlife. This is the ideal place for a quiet and relaxing
break. If you enjoy gazing into space, this is the ideal place to see the bright
lights of nature on a clear night. For those who enjoy basking in the African
sun and taking a dip to cool down may relax around the swimming pool.
