Nambiti Plains Private Game Lodge bids you a very warm welcome! Offering only
5 luxury suites ensuring an intimate, exclusive setting, the lodge is nestled
amongst the undisturbed flora and fauna of the Nambiti Reserve, a private big 5
bush retreat set on 20 000 acres of Malaria-free bushveld in KwaZulu Natal -
perfectly positioned a mere 2.5 hours drive from Durban and 3.5 hours drive from
Jhb as well as being close to the Drakensberg and Battlefield areas.
Our main area is imaginatively weaved and constructed in and amongst the
indigenous forest with vast, expansive wraparound decks overlooking our
waterhole and plains area, making it the perfect vantage point from which to
view wildlife in their natural environment. Contemporary, simplistic décor,
subtle earthy colors and cozy relaxation areas allow you to experience the
African bush at its best. Glassed sliding doors, overhead fans and screeded
floors ensure you stay cool in summer while large, packed stone fireplaces in
our lounge and dining room beckon you to absorb its inviting warmth in winter.
Relax either in our lounge, outdoor lounge area or at the swimming pool which is
also a popular drinking spot for elephants.
All five of our suites are a short walk to the main area, completely secluded
and luxuriously appointed, designed and decorated with the utmost care and
detail to impress and surpass the expectations of even the most discerning
guest. Enjoy panoramic views from your private deck, while you're having an
indulgent soak in your freestanding tub or even from your indoor or outdoor
showers. Each suite is tastefully decorated and equipped with romantic mosquito
nets, under floor heating, overhead fans, tea/coffee stations, safes and mini
bars. Our family suite is separated by a solid, packed stone wall and leads to
two totally separate and private rooms. It is equipped the same as the other
three suites with the exception of outdoor showers.
Our chefs will take you on a taste sensation with healthy and scrumptious meals,
prepared with wholesome South African ingredients. Look forward to hearty
breakfasts on your return from early morning game drive, light lunches or high
teas depending on the season and fabulous three course dinners after your
evening game drive. Meals are informal and served either outdoors, in our dining
room or under African skies in our outdoor boma.

about the natural flora and fauna and view not only the big five but also
cheetah, hippo, a vast array of bird species as well as the opportunity to learn
