Netherley House is situated in a prime position on
Salt Rock main beach. You will often find the beacons demarcating the swimming area directly in front of the steps which lead down to the beach from the front of the cottage.
The cottage has four en-suite bedrooms, two of which have king size beds plus an extra single bed, the third bedroom has two single beds and the fourth has a double bed. All linen is supplied with the exception of bath and beach towels and any consumable goods will need to be brought by the occupants, including toilet paper and soap.
The living area has two seating areas one being in front of the TV which has DStv and the other around the fireplace, which during our few cooler months can be very cosy. The dining table seats ten and there is crockery, cutlery and glassware to cater for twelve guests. A huge varandah also has a table and chairs for outside entertaining.
Parking space is available for four vehicles, one being in the garage, it will be necessary for any extra to park outside on the verge. The house is fully burglar alarmed and has outside sensors which can be activated as additional security and the driveway entrance has automated gates.
The housekeeper Janet is compulsory at R60 per day which covers general cleaning
only. Any washing, ironing or babysitting to be arranged with Janet - pay her
directly.
Special features of the property are the beautifully appointed beauty salon on site but completely separate from the house and the resident Siamese cat Mocca (only cat lovers allowed).
In the Salt Rock area are a number of good eating establishments and a very convenient Friendly 7 to 7 shop (they make the best Chelsea buns). For larger shopping the popular Lifestyle Centre is 10 minutes away in Ballito and twenty minutes away is the Gateway Shopping Centre and the
Umhlali Golf Course are about 10 minutes away. Dolphins are seen almost daily and the whales can be viewed towards the horizon sometimes closer towards the end part of the year.
