Norfolk House is situated high on the leafy Musgrave area of the Berea with
sea and city views. It is centrally located but is in a quiet tree-lined road.
Norfolk House offers luxury, comfort and privacy at a location central to trendy
Musgrave with its restaurants, shops and bars as well as Durban's commercial
center, the ICC, golf courses, the Greyville racecourse and the main sporting
arenas. We are situated a mere 10 minutes drive from Durban's well-known beaches
such as Bay of Plenty where the Mr Price Pro surfing contest is held every July.
UShaka Marine World, with its Wet n Wild Adventure Park, aquarium and
dolphinarium is less than 10km away and the Suncoast Casino complex is also
close by. A drive to Gateway Theatre of Shopping and Umhlanga's renowned beaches
would take you 20 minutes. We have been given a 4 star rating by the Tourism
Grading Council of South Africa.
Our apartments are contemporary but comfortably furnished, with the garden
apartment flowing out onto a beautifully appointed verandah, garden and swimming
pool. The upper Colonial apartment has wonderful sea and city views.
Norfolk House invites you, the guest, to relax, be comfortable and feel
completely at home eliminating the usual restrictive and uncomfortable feeling
of guesthouse accommodation.
Accommodation
Both apartments are fully furnished and ultra modern including the finest linen
and towels. They are fully equipped with oven and hob, microwave, fridge,
dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery. All bedrooms
have built-in cupboards with ample space ensuring comfort. Both apartments have
DStv, DVD players, wireless internet connection and are serviced daily.
Garden Apartment
This spacious airconditioned luxury apartment is filled with light. It flows
graciously from its beautifully furnished lounge with flat screen TV through the
modern kitchen with its' stainless-steel appliances to the 6-seater diningroom.
This leads you onto the wide colonial-style verandah with dining area and Weber
braai and out into the landscaped garden and sparkling pool. Here you will be
able to enjoy sundowners, a barbeque and a refreshing swim after a busy day. The
garden and pool are for the sole use of the occupants of this apartment so you
will have complete privacy.
The three bedrooms are decorated in muted tones and each has a flat screen TV.
The spacious main bedroom is en-suite and has a super-size bed that can be
converted into 2 three quarter beds. The second bedroom has a king size bed that
can be converted into two single beds and the third bedroom has a queen size
bed. Both of these bedrooms have French doors leading out onto the verandah.
This apartment has drive in access with off-street parking for 2/3 cars.
Colonial Apartment
This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom fully airconditioned apartment has its own garage and
private entrance. Its furnishings are modern but comfortable. The entrance area
leads you to the cosy lounge with flat screen TV and contemporary artwork and
furniture. The kitchen has a bar-top seating area and 6 seater dining area.
The 3 bedrooms are comfortably decorated with large windows that fill them with
light. If one wishes to have an afternoon nap the plantation shutters can be
closed. The main bedroom is en-suite with a bath and has a flat screen TV and
DVD player. It has a king size bed. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and
the third has two single beds. The second bathroom has a shower and there is a
separate toilet. These bedrooms have wonderful views of the city.
