Ormonde Lodge is a very comfortable self-catering holiday home located in a
prime position along the sea front on Lilliecrona Boulevard in Uvongo.
Each morning begins with a beautiful sunrise over the Indian Ocean. No matter
what the weather, Ormonde Lodge affords guests an excellent panoramic view of
the ocean, including waves, whales, birds and dolphins from its large windows.
The scenic walkway along the beach front is a draw card for one and all.
This double story home, on the beach front, is a 5 minute walk from the very
popular sheltered Uvongo Beach, which is ideal for families. There is a lovely
waterfall where the Vungu River drops to sea level and feeds the lagoon - fun
for young and old - as well as good fishing from the pier. South of us, on route
to Margate is the Manaba Beach area as well as the peaceful Lucien Beach. These
beaches are all shark netted and popular amongst the boarders and surfers.
Ormonde Lodge is a spacious home, set on a large stand with a fully enclosed
back garden. All doors and windows have security bars and there is an alarm
system. Our holiday home is strictly non-smoking.
This holiday home has 4 spacious bedrooms with wall to wall built in cupboards.
Two main bedrooms have bathroom on suites and the other 2 bedrooms are serviced
by a separate bathroom. The house has 9 beds. All rooms have a sea view.
Bed linen is provided, bring your own bath and beach towels.
The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a stove, microwave, dishwasher, 2
fridges and a large freezer. The laundry has a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Ormonde lodge beach house has a large downstairs living room with TV, as well as
an upstairs lounge with panoramic view of the coast. DSTV cabling is available -
bring your own decoder, card and remote. There is an outdoor braai facility,
with table tennis and a dart board on the patio.
The spacious garage parks 3 cars.
The Hibiscus Coast is known for its excellent year round climate and visitors
will experience an excellent holiday in any season. Uvongo offers many
attractions, amongst others a flea market, restaurants, golf and tennis,
nurseries and coffee shops, the Uvongo Bird Park and Paint Ball. The surrounding
towns offer many more activities such as top golf courses, deep sea fishing
charters, shopping, movies, night clubs and casinos. For the nature lover Oribi
Gorge and Lake Eland are close by, as well as a variety of nature parks.
