Bedrooms
The Beach House has 4 bedrooms:
Luxury Suite with Sea and River Views
This room has sweeping views of the Bushman's River Mouth, up-river, the Indian
Ocean and the coastline down to Kwaaihoek. It is a king sized bedroom upstairs
that includes a walk in robe with personal safe. Large bathroom with twin
basins, freestanding bath, large walk in shower, heated towel, shaver point and
bath robes. This bedroom has its own sitting room / study that includes a 3-seat
sofa, armchair, coffee table, desk and chair, tea and coffee making facilities
and there also is a fully stocked bar fridge. There is also a cabinet containing
books on South Africa including bird and animal books. Both of these rooms lead
on to a private balcony that has 2 x wicker armchairs. We also have a telescope
in the sitting room, which is ideal for Whale watching. The total upstairs area
is approximately 70 sq meters.
Deluxe Suite with Sea and River Views
A king sized bedroom downstairs with sweeping views of the Bushman's River
Mouth, the Indian Ocean and the coastline. The room has a free standing cupboard
with both hanging space and shelves. Large bathroom with basin, freestanding
bath, large walk in shower, heated towel rail, shaver point and bath robes. This
bedroom has a large sliding glass door that leads to the undercover outdoor
deck, swimming pool and garden.
Information on local area:
Kenton-on-Sea is located on the coast in the Eastern Cape, which is at the
bottom tip of South Africa, and importantly, MALARIA FREE. Kenton is a popular
seaside resort with a vibrant atmosphere in season, but beautifully tranquil and
peaceful out of season, which is most of the year. Kenton is renowned for some
of the best beaches and protected coves on South Africa's coast and affords
guests with attractive walking, hiking, fishing, boating, canoeing, surfing and
kiting opportunities. Kenton also is a very popular wedding venue with its
beautiful coves and white sandy beaches.
The surrounding areas are home to numerous game reserves stocked with the big 5.
In addition, the towns surrounding Kenton are steeped in history as some of the
earliest settlers dating back to the 1820's landed on these shores. These towns
now have thriving arts and crafts and home cottage industries.
