Knysna is situated in the heart of South Africa's famous Garden Route - between Port Elizabeth and Cape Town.

Oyster Creek Lodge is uniquely positioned on the tip of The Point, surrounded by the beautiful Knysna Lagoon on three sides - Obviously with spectacular views from all the rooms.

We offer varied accommodation to suit our guests' personal requirements.

The whole lodge, sleeping 12 guests maximum, is available on a self catering or bed & breakfast basis. Obviously special rates apply when the whole lodge is taken up at any specific time, for periods not shorter than 3 nights.

We have 4 en suite bedrooms and 1 with private bathroom. 3 Rooms open onto the deck, 1 overlooks the Lagoon and mountains on the other side of the lodge and the downstairs room opens into the garden, a few metres away from the Lagoon.

Room 1 - Luxury Suite:
This beautiful room is the ultimate in luxury. Queen-size bed and small lounge area with its own Plasma TV. Leading out onto the deck overlooking the Knysna Lagoon that surrounds the Lodge on 3 sides. Also magnificent views of the Knysna Heads. The luxury bathroom offers an elevated oval bath, double vanity slab, separate shower and separate toilet. What could be better than enjoying a glass of bubbly by candle light with your partner in the bath?

Room 2:
This lovely double bedded room with en suite shower is located on the other side of the Lodge and overlooks the Knysna Lagoon and Outeniqua mountains in the background. The fern-coloured decor turns this room into a true Knysna Forest experience!

Room 3:
The only twin bedded room in the Lodge, but beautiful with unusual decor and en suite shower. Leads out onto the deck.

Room 4:
An all-time favourite with our guests. Double bedded with en suite bathroom with both shower and bath. Leads out onto the deck with stunning views.

The Loft:
We moved our lovely yellowwood pub down into the lounge area and changed the Loft into a very unusual but beautiful bedroom. Romantic! Double bedded with separate toilet and open plan bathroom - oval bath! Stunning views from your very own Romeo and Juliet balcony or watch the seagulls and oyster catchers play whilst having your bath!"

We offer braai and pub facilities, a pool table and beautiful log fires. Apart from a scrumptious breakfast, we can also provide additional home cooked meals at very reasonable prices. We also have a 2-man canoe for use by guests.

Winter Special
We normally have excellent weather during May, June and August.

Why not make use of the low season rates and at the same time benefit from our Winter Special: Stay for 3 nights and only pay for 2!

Winter Brides: Why not spend your honeymoon in beautiful Knysna and benefit from Oyster Creek Lodges' winter special.

We will also spoil you with a bottle of bubbly and some other surprises.

Attractions in the Knysna Area:
Watersports, Lagoon Cruises, Forest Walks, Bird Watching (from our own deck!), Horse-riding, Fishing, Golf, Elephant Park, Oyster Tasting, etc. The world's highest bungy jump at Storms' River and Shark Caging at Mossel Bay can be arranged. Safaris for whale- and dolphin watching also available in the area.
