Our recently established Klaas Voogds Game Reserve (±800ha) is adjacent to and compliments our mountain Nature Reserve. Situated in the lower lying foothills of the Langeberg, the Game Reserve is home to re-introduced antelope such as Springbuck, Bontebok, Hartebees, Oryx, Fallow Deer, Rhebok, Eland, Zebra, Black Wildebeest and Ostrich. The majority of the flora is comprises of Renosterbos, Pioniersbos, Spekboomveld and Cape Mountain Fynbos as well as Kameeldoring thorn and olive trees in the riverbeds. Our guide will be pleased to safari you through the reserve in an open game-viewing vehicle.

Our perennial streams feed dams which hold Black Bass for the enthusiastic angler. Swimming is also possible in these dams. Bring your mountain bike and explore our extensive orchards and vineyards at your leisure. Or perhaps enjoy mountaintop sundowners over a spectacular view after conquering our tough 4x4 mountain trail.

Our farms operate as deciduous fruit and wine farms supplying to the canning industry and the Ashton co-op wine cellar respectively. In 2002 we completed renovations to old out buildings and converted them into an antique wine cellar. Following traditional winemaking methods antique pumps, open maceration tanks and a wooden basket press were used to vinify our first vintage (2002) of RUSTICUS wines. Cellar tours and wine tastings at "RUSTICUS of the land" would be our pride and pleasure.
