Come and enjoy the peace and beauty that nature provides in the Overberg! Visitors can reach the cottage by car and will only have to travel 800m of gravel road.
There are two bedrooms; one with a queen size bed and the other with four single beds, of which two are a bunkbed. The beds all have crisp white percale linen and good quality mattresses.
The bathroom has a shower and a bath with a separate toilet. Towels are provided. For the adventurous there is an outside shower.
In the open plan kitchen you will find a fridge/freezer, a microwave, two plate hob and a fireplace. The kitchen is also fully equipped.
On arrival guests will receive a freshly baked bread and home baked rusks. The owner also provides a menu from which guests can order homecooked meals and fresh baking, to be enjoyed in the privacy of the cottage. Guests can relax on the veranda and enjoy the scenery, or take an easy hike to the waterfall in the nearby mountain. A small mountain stream also flows past the cottage. Other activities include mountainbiking, swimming and birdwatching. Blue crane are in abundance on the farm! A tour of the farm can be organised, should guests be interested. On the neigbouring farm there are flyfishing facilities, as well as a 4x4 route.
The coastal town of Hermanus is 65km away and picturesque
springs and casino are only 8km away. In
Caledon there is a golfcourse, a few restaurants and gift shops. The Arabella Hotel with its very popular golfcourse and spa is only 20 min away.
