The PILANESBERG PRIVATE LODGE is a luxurious retreat nestled within the Pilanesberg Mountain Range.

The lodge is situated in the MALARIA FREE Black Rhino Reserve, a mere 1.5 hours drive from Johannesburg and SUN CITY. This reserve forms part of the Greater Pilanesberg National Park which is 57 000 hectares in size. Home to the BIG 5 (lion,leopard,buffalo,elephant,black and white rhino) as well as giraffe, cheetah,wild dog,zebra and most of the antelope species.

The lodge consists of a communal area and five luxury en-suite sleeping units and an outdoor BOMA. Each unit has complete privacy from the next to enhance your African experience but is connected to the communal are with paved pathways. Each unit consists of the following and we can accommodate a maximum of 10 adults and 4 kids.

King size bed with white linen, Comfortable armchairs, air conditioner, ceiling fan, rock bath, indoor shower, outdoor shower, double basin, private patio, mini safe , mini fridge and hairdryer.

The communal area consists of the following:

2 Lounge areas, formal dining area, Big Screen TV with DSTV, Sparkling pool, Jacuzzi, Deck with loungers, covered patio with outdoor couches and a viewing deck overlooking the mountain.

Game drives are undertaken by your qualified personal ranger in our Open Game vehicle. We traverse the entire 57 000 hectares of the Pilanesberg National Park.

A typical day will be the following:

Early morning game drive. It will include a coffee break with muffins and rusks.
Upon return we enjoy a hearty brunch on the pool deck. Guests enjoy leisure time lazing around the pool and Jacuzzi for the rest of the day. The afternoon drive departs in time to enjoy the spectacular views of the ancient volcano while enjoying a sundowner. We then set off in search of the nocturnal animals with a spotlight.

Dinner is served in our open air boma and guests reminisce around the fire and enjoy true South African hospitality and food.
