Nestling against the mountainside in a quiet cul-de-sac in a lovely part of
Hout Bay, Poplar Tree Lodge offers excellent, fully-equipped self-catering
suites and boasts wonderful views across the valley. The Lodge is quiet and
relaxing, and features pretty tiered gardens, with a communal pool, sun deck &
patio.
The 4 comfortable self-catering are individual in character:
TREE TOP SUITE
Situated in the top tier of the lodge this suite opens onto a large private deck
with spectacular views over the Hout Bay valley.
The bedroom features a kingsize four-poster bed, two reading chairs and a TV,
DVD/CD player etc*. There's a cosy kitchen/diner complete with dining table and
wicker chairs. The bathroom has a large corner bath and separate shower.

GARDEN SUITE
This cool & restful suite has its own small entrance gate (within the secure,
gated property) and opens onto a verandah with great views over the valley and
to the mountains around.
The bedroom has either a double bed or twin beds. There is a good size living
area with a kitchenette plus a dining table & chairs, a day bed, double sleeper
couch, TV, DVD/CD player etc*. The bathroom has a bath & a separate shower
cubicle.

VALLEY VIEW SUITE
This light and fresh suite has a double bedroom, plus a good size living room
with a kitchenette with a dining table & chairs plus a day bed, double sleeper
couch, TV, DVD/CD player etc*. There's a roll top bath & separate shower in the
bathroom.

STUDIO SUITE
Our economy/budget suite is located at the top/back of the lodge and has a wall
of windows opening onto it's own paved patio looking to the tiered gardens.
Studio can have either a double or twin beds. It has a TV with satellite
channels, a DVD/CD player plus there is wi-fi access, and a personal safe.
There's a table & chairs, a small, concealed kitchenette including a 2 plate
hob, microwave, larder fridge, crockery, cutlery etc. There is an en-suite
bathroom (shower above the bath).

* Suites have a TV with satellite channels, a DVD/CD player, wi-fi internet
access, personal safes, kitchenettes with 2 plate stove & mini oven, microwave,
fridge/freezer plus a full range of crockery, cutlery, linens etc. A portable
BBQ is available on request.
Secure on-site parking is available. The suites are serviced daily Monday -
Saturday except for public holidays.
A small library of magazines, books, DVDs and games is available for all.
Situated in the charming village of Hout Bay, the Lodge is 5 minutes drive from
the shops, a wide selection of restaurants, the beach and a busy fishing
harbour; as well as being ideally located to explore the Cape Peninsular via
Chapman's Peak Drive, go wine tasting on the Constantia Wine Route or experience
the cosmopolitan night life of Camps Bay & Cape Town city. Cape Town is a 20/25
minute drive along the pretty coastal road.
