The ideal venue for your Mozambique holiday - with only 38 km between your
holiday destination and Maputo, Macaneta Island is the place to be. (North of
Maputo). This unique island is surrounded by the Nkomati River and the Indian
Ocean and gives life to rich plant and bird life with excellent fishing in the
area.
Praia de Peixe - 3.3 hectares of land - is situated right next to the Mozambique
coast line and you can be on the beach within 5 minutes walk from our camp site.
Although our campsites are still very new and all the phases not yet developed,
you can relax at your own camp site surrounded by the indigenous plant and bird
life. Each camp site is equipped with a braai place, light, water and power
point for your convenience. We also have a large ablution block near the pool
and bar area where you can wash away the ocean salt and freshen up for the
remainder of your day.
At Praia de Peixe there's a lot to do for every one. Daily boat trips can be
chartered to Inhaca Island, where you can snorkel in the turquoise waters of the
Indian Ocean or even catch your dream fish. Whales can also be watched from
September to December months. For the surf fisherman trips to Rooiwalle can be
arranged from where they can target Kingfish, Couta, Stompies, Shad and even
Kabeljou from the beech. Quads & Jet skis are welcome and quads can even be
rented on the island when available. For those that just want to relax in the
sun, we have a lovely swim beech where you can spend the day or just do the
unwinding stroll along the coast line.

time you spend with us.
