Black Oystercatcher Restaurant & Function Venue
Their lives entwined with the sea, Black oystercatchers thrive along the
coastline around the cool tip of Africa. Similarly, Dirk human's family have
farmed here successfully for generations and were amongst the pioneers who
established vineyards in the maritime rurality of
Elim. Bound by ocean on three
sides, the cool sea breezes caress the grapes constantly, allowing them to ripen
gradually. This results in intense fruit flavours which are then lovingly worked
into exceptional wines.
Springing from the farm that the Black Oystercatcher Wines call home, we invite
you to experience the magic, romance & tranquillity at Black Oystercatcher's
wine tasting, restaurant and function venue. From August 2008 the original
(early 1900) farmstead that over time became a dairy parlour, horse stables, a
piggery and then also at one stage hosted ostriches, was renovated and is now
our tasting facility and function venue. Eternalise your dream wedding, special
occasion, party or conference at the home of Black Oystercatcher. Simply enjoy
lunch made from only the best ingredients out of our own garden, always
complimenting our fine wines and countryside hospitality, alongside the pool
with its breathtaking views.
The Function venue and Restaurant are open 7 days a week, Booking is essential.
We run a full weekend restaurant and are child friendly. Please contact us for
