The Picnic Shed

Klein River Cheese farm offers the perfect outing for the whole family...

Visitors can enjoy a delicious picnic lunch on the banks of the tranquil Klein river; under the trees on the extensive lawns; or on the veranda of the beautifully renovated Picnic Shed.

The Picnic Basket is filled with freshly baked bread, salads, a Klein River cheese platter, preserves, quiches, pâté, cold meats and more. To enjoy with your lunch, we have a selection of local wines; sparkling grape juice; homemade ginger beer; cold drinks, fruit juices; etc.

Special mini picnics are prepared for children and served in individual baskets.

Tea, coffee, baked cheesecake, decadent chocolate cake and Gruyere scones are served too.

While mom & dad relax, kids can enjoy playing in the large playground and jumping on the trampolines. Children can also feed the many different farm animals that live on the farm, from Kabous the miniature pony to Shrek the goat and Horris the pig!

We also cater for picnic parties & special occasions.

Picnics are sold daily from 11:00 to 15:00, but only during the summer months, from November through to May.
