Nestled in a breathtaking bush valley, the thatched restaurant is a
picturesque venue for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The venue is designed to
unite with Mother Nature by using natural materials such as thatch, stone,
sleeper wood and glass. At the same time, the rustic roughness inside the
building lends itself to co-ordination with other natural materials such as
stone, clay & wood. The high thatch roof gives the venue a spacious, airy
feeling that can be followed though with ostrich egg lamps, lanterns or candles
to add romance to the rustic ambience.
The crackling fire on the deck area will allow guests an opportunity to mingle
and enjoy the wildlife that surrounds the venue. Ethnic dishes and
accompaniments like mealie pap (African-style polenta) and sweet caramelized
pumpkin cakes are used to give the taste of Africa. Guests will enjoy specialist
dishes like ostrich stew and kudu casserole, a light curry bobotie or a rich
venison pie which combines the deep rich taste of venison with red wine and
redcurrant jelly. Mouth watering desserts like the Marula Mamba, Malva Pudding
with custard or the chocolate volcano are temptations to feast on all day long.
Nyaru invites their guests to sip their drinks on the deck while relaxing to the
sounds and sight of the wildlife and bush, before either moving inside for their
meal, or being served on the deck area around a crackling fire. As the fire and
company draw you closer, you'll realize that the important things in life are
priceless.
