Tea Garden

The Terrace was established in 1995 as a small 50 seater tea garden
set high up in the trees above the tropical gardens of Illovo Nursery. Yvonne &
Lesley the original owners are still running the restaurant after almost 12
years It has now been upgraded to130 seats, with a wonderful deck extending even
further over the gardens.
We are open 7 days a week, 363 days a year, from 8am to 4pm.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served every day from 8.30 – 11am. What better way to start
your day than by a good meal set in the most beautiful tranquil surroundings,
watch the birds and enjoy the peace & quiet while your meal is cooked to
perfection!!
Lunch
A daily lunch special is served Mon- Fri which includes the main meal, dessert
AND free tea or coffee (R45). Sundays we serve a delicious home cooked Roast &
all the trimmings & dessert (R50). If you are looking for something lighter you
can choose from pies, toasted sandwiches, burgers & healthy salads etc
Cakes
Of course we have a wonderful variety of delicious home made cakes. Our Lemon
Meringue & Cheesecake are the BEST ON THE SOUTH COAST.
Drinks
We are not licensed at the moment (Licence pending) but you are welcome to
bring your own wine, beers etc until such time as we receive the licence.
Pensioners day on Tuesdays – Free Tea OR Coffee with your meal & 10%
discount on the bill.
Craft & Garden Talks are arranged on a regular basis during the week.
We also cater for Bus tours, Bike & Car Club rally’s, ladies groups etc. You can
contact us for further information.
We are wheelchair friendly. Secure parking. Well behaved small pets
welcome.
