The Royal Hotel Knysna is situated on the cnr of Main and Queen Street in the heart of Knysna, across the road from a beautifull old stone church and gardens, in walking distance to restaurants, shops and the Knysna waterfront. This historical building has been beautifully restored with its verandas and walkways and boasts loads of old colonial charm. There are single, double and twin rooms. The bedrooms have high ceilings, en suite bathrooms, tv(SABC, E-TV) and airconditioning and are double glazed for sound proofing. Tea and coffee are available in the rooms. There is 24 hour reception and safe parking is available for guests. Breakfast is included and can be enjoyed on the front veranda. Light lunches are also available in the courtyard. There is a gym with an indoor pool that is available to guests at a daily rate. So please come and relax and enjoy our friendly staff and colonial hospitality.

The Knysna museum is over the road with a number of art galeries close by. The waterfront has regular ferry trips going out across the lagoon for short trips and lunch outings. Tuk Tuk rides are available and will pick guests up from the hotel for tours of Knysna. Close by is Leisure Isle with Bollard bay swimming beach and the famous Knysna Heads and Coney Glen beach. A little further away are Brenton on Sea and Buffalo Bay. These 2 beaches are great for swimming and surfing. Knysna is well known for its forests and nature walks as well as its premier golf courses which are all in close proximity. There are also a number of world class restaurants. The Royal Hotel has a courtesy car and airport transfers can be arranged. The Royal Hotel is a WiFi hotspot.
