Noordhoek, and at its heart: Sacred Mountain Lodge. This tranquil and enchanting experience is steeped in history holding many secrets of the Valley's past.
Luxury Accommodation
Sacred Mountain Lodge offers the most discerning traveller a choice of accommodation and methods of relaxation, including a private wellness spa, swimming pool set in a fairy like dell, equestrian trails and beach rides, private bar and home-cooked meals.
Personal touches abound with firewood for those cooler evenings, fruit bowls, fresh flowers and a complimentary bottle of cape wine on arrival.
Peaceful rural charm reminiscent of a bygone era boasts select country furniture, chandeliers, fresh cotton linen, a welcome fireplace and overall comfort appeal, all tucked beneath the whispering oaks of a garden sanctuary.
Our cottages and suites offer you Bed & Breakfast accommodation, all en-suite and fully serviced with soaps, toiletries, fresh towels and crisp cotton linen.All equipped with a mini-kitchen of tea and coffee making facilities, bar fridge, microwave, local and international satellite television, a video channel, cooling fans for summer and heaters for winter. The Cottages all have their own barbeque area. 'There is secure parking, and a laundry service is offered. 'For the traveling businessman we have wireless internet access and secretarial services available on request.

Sacred Mountain Lodge took its name from the most hallowed symbol of Cape Town -

The inspiration for naming our beautiful guest house 'Sacred Mountain Lodge' came from the book '
Table Mountain to Cape Point' by Carrie Hampton, where in her 'Sacred Mountain' chapter she says; "Table Mountain is known as the most potent symbol of Africa, representing freedom in every sense of the word, and has been likened to a fortress, a sleeping goddess, a stairway to heaven, a guardian of the city, a warrior and watcher of the south, considered sacred for the living forces at work behind nature."
We invite you to come and feel the forces of nature here at the tip of Africa and enjoy our warm hospitality in the peaceful surroundings of Sacred Mountain Lodge.
Fabulous Cape Cuisine
Enjoy your scrumptious farmhouse breakfasts, served in the comfort of your own cottage or under the 100 year oaks in a forested garden, all prepared with the freshest produce of free range eggs, farm bacon and freshly baked bread. Continental breakfasts include fresh fruit salad, muffins, toast, and farm butter, a selection of cold meats, cheeses and preserves.
We also serve special evening meals of the day - advance orders to be placed.
Some of South Africa's award winning restaurants grace the South Peninsula, within close proximity to the Lodge, so whether you choose to enjoy the freshest seafood on the rocks of False Bay, or Haute Cuisine in the Cape Winelands, any restaurant reservation is at our fingertips.
There are recommended restaurants within walking distance to Sacred Mountain Lodge.
Picnic Baskets
Treat your partner to a romantic picnic atop
Chapman's Peak, or taking in the sunset on Noordhoek beach, both only a couple of minutes drive from the lodge. We will fill a picnic hamper with select delicacies and wine.
For a choice of picnic cuisine, we can surprise you, or alternatively advance orders may be placed with your choice of food selection. Alternative picnic venues, all in close proximity or further a field can also be recommended.

We are able to arrange and offer a full wedding package service from food to flowers, the minister and decor arrangements - all you need to do is turn up in your suited attire. Please be assured that we will only accept wedding and private function bookings when the lodge accommodation is free from all other guests.

Noordhoek & Surrounds - What To Do & Where To Go
Noordhoek is the ideal location from which to explore the Cape Peninsula, minutes away from superb beaches, awe inspiring mountain drives including
Kalk Bay and many more beautiful and exhilarating places to see and things to do.
From Sacred Mountain Lodge take a stroll down to
Noordhoek Farm Village for lunch and browse around the array of local arts and craft shops.
Walk across the way to one of the horse farms where you can enjoy an outride on one of the friendly horses - take to the trails or head off for a canter along the 8km stretch of white sandy beach - unquestionably an exhilarating experience and one of the best beaches for horse riding in the world!
If its bird watching you're after, we're situated in the heart of
Table Mountain Nature Reserve with the Noordhoek Wetlands on our doorstep - an incredibly popular location for the bird watching community.
Golfers are spoilt for choice with Clovelley Country Club, Westlake Golf Club and Steenberg Golf Estate - 3 of the best courses in the Cape Town area within 15 minutes drive! Or for a more unique golfing experience, well there's always the golfing range at Pollsmoore prison?!
Cyclists and running enthusiasts. There isn't a more perfect place to take part or view the Argus Cycle Tour or the Two Oceans Marathon, we are situated at the base of
Chapman's Peak - what more can we say?
And for the city folk, if the country life is making you crave a bit of city vibe (it can happen!), well Cape Town City Centre and the infamous
Victoria and Alfred Waterfront is only a 30 minute drive. Just remember that our nightlife in the sleepy valley can be just as festive, if not more so. Just ask us where and we will point you in the right direction
