The accommodation offers 4 bedrooms (3 en-suite) each with water views. An open-plan living environment seamlessly joins the modern, fully equipped kitchen, dining & lounge areas and, through glass sliding doors (providing unfettered views), onto 3 outside decks maximized for your enjoyment no matter what the weather - wind, rain or shine. A Braai (BBQ) area is available on the deck to complete this beach-house living style. The bathrooms are modern and spacious and are complemented by a private outside shower where you can rinse off after a swim or enjoy each morning regardless. Direct & private access leads to the water's edge and miles of unspoilt Garden Route shoreline. With a breathtaking outlook across Sedgefield Lagoon and a western view of the sea, this property has one of the most stunning positions the Garden Route and offers the guest an amazing beach holiday with safe swimming and beaching environments. Your accommodation includes the use of a row-boat and canoe to enable guests to enjoy being on the water.
The bedrooms are configured in options of Kings, Doubles and twins and all linen is supplied although guests are requested to bring their own beach towels. The house is preferably a no-shoe environment and slippers are provided for guests that do not wish to walk bare-foot or in socks! Smoking is only permitted on the outside decks. DStv is available, as is a wireless internet connection and there is a safe to lock up "those precious items".
Sedgefield town is an unhurried seaside village, on the N2 half way between
Knysna ideally located to all the Garden Route destinations and Sedgies on the Water will collect and deliver any visitors to or from
George Airport if possible. Sedgefield provides all the necessary amenities, a selection of restaurants, a wide variety of outdoor activities, a safe lagoon for swimming & fishing as well as a dedicated & separate boating area where skiing and wakeboarding is enjoyed. Weekly, on Saturday, the Garden Route descends on Sedgefield to attend the Wild Oats Farmers Market where you can buy breakfast, fresh produce and home-made delicacies directly from the farmers. It is a must for any weekend visitor. The permanent Scarab Craft Market is now housed in a charming setting alongside Wild Oats and offers a wide variety of home crafted goods. Other activities to enjoy within a 25km range include golfing for all at world-class golf resorts Pezula, Simola and Fancourt or the local mashi-courses. Surfing is enjoyed at Victoria and Buffalo-Bays, hiking in nature reserves, great mountain bike tracks, quadbiking, abseiling, the George Power-Van train trip, The Knysna Heads and so much more.
