Shangani (named after the local people of the region, the Shangaan) is a privately-owned villa set within the grounds of the Kruger Park Lodge Resort in the North East of South Africa. It is just a 30-minute drive from the famous Kruger Park Game Reserve, one of Africa's finest conservation areas.

Nestled on the banks of the Sabi River with superb view, our beautiful villa offers luxury accommodation. Outside there is a spacious veranda with built in braai (barbeque) and garden furniture. Here you can relax in the sunshine whilst listening to the sounds of the river and the African wildlife around you.

The villa is fully air conditioned and sleeps 6 to 7 people. It comprises the following:

The master bedroom, located on the ground floor, is furnished with a king size bed and has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. The room has French doors that open onto a veranda.

There are two other bedrooms - the second bedroom also has a king size bed and ample space, while the third bedroom is a twin bedded room.

Upstairs is an airy gallery landing with additional sleeping space for two on a sofa bed. Also upstairs there is a bathroom with bath and shower.

Downstairs is a spacious living and dining area with large patio doors leading onto the veranda, which has garden furniture and a covered built-in barbeque.

The kitchen is fully equipped for all your self-catering needs and has a dishwasher and combination washer/drier.

There is also a separate cloakroom downstairs.

Shangani villa is set within the grounds of the Kruger Park Lodge Resort. It is a completely secluded environment set in hundreds of acres of Lowveld bush. There is a 9-hole Gary Player-designed golf course (with a further 9 holes to be built in the near future), flood lit tennis courts, 2 swimming pools, crazy golf, billiard table, dart boards, giant chess and for younger children, a trampoline and jungle gym.

Within the grounds you can enjoy the Impala grazing on the lawns, troops of Vervet monkeys passing through. There is a hide where you can sit peacefully watching our family of resident hippo and crocodile in the dam.

Close to the reception is a relaxing "lapa", (thatched outdoor refreshment area) that is built onto the Sabi River.

The reception area has a very good restaurant overlooking one of the swimming pools and the river beyond. It is open from 7.00am to 10.00pm daily.
