The name "Spatsels" (sea spray) says it all of this house 100 meters from the
beach. A panoramic view from the open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room
allows you to watch the whales at play, surfers braving the waves and kids
playing on the beach.
Amenities:
- The main house has 4 double bedrooms with en suite bathroom or showers
as well as a sleeper reading room with a well equipped library. Sea views
from 2 bedrooms.
- Outside rooms with double beds and en suite shower/toilet/washbasin.
- TV and DSTV in main house and 1 bedroom (own smart card required).
- Main house has fully equipped kitchen with gas hob and electric oven, 2
fridges, dishwasher, microwave oven, laundry with washing machine and tumble
drier.
- Two fire places,one in the lounge and one in a seafacing bedroom.
- Garage (with bar-b-cue equipment) and direct access to the main house.
- Linen will be provided, bring own towels
All about Onrusrivier
Onrus, a tiny town resting in the Hemel-en-Aarde-valley is one hour's drive from
Cape Town International and 7 km from Hermanus (shopping and Business hub).
Onrus offers excellent medical services, superb restaurants such as Milkwood on
the beach, as well as 2 superettes.
The town retains it artistic tradition in the many galleries found all over
town.
The area is rich in crayfish , perlemoen and fish. The waves invites surfers.
Children and parents can safely play and swim in the lagoon and sea.
For nature lovers there are walking trails. For golf enthusiasts there are 3
golfcourses in the area.
Wine lovers can do wine tasting at the many wine farms in the region .
Highlights of the year include the Whale Festival in September and the
Kalfiefees in July during the Whale season as the Southern Rights Whales make
their annual pilgrimage to Onrus and Hermanus.
