Springfontein House is ideally situated 3 kilometres off the N1,Bloemfontein. The position is wonderful for anybody wishing a civilised stop over when travelling between the Cape coast and Gauteng, Mpumalanga or places north. Also brilliantly situated for travellers between Natal and the Cape.

Springfontein House has 5 guest bedrooms, all en-suite; 2 twin bedded rooms, 1 with a bath and 1 with a full bathroom and 3 rooms with queen size beds, 1 with a shower, 1 with a bath and 1 with a full bathroom. There TV's in all the rooms.

You will be made to feel most welcome by the owner (Graeme Wedgwood) and his friendly staff. Relaxation is the order of the day whether it be by the swimming pool during the summer or in the warm rooms of the guest house in winter. For those more energetically inclined, a walk through the veldt bird and butterfly watching can be very rewarding. There are also 2 interesting Anglo-Boer war graveyards in the town.

Whether it be in winter or summer the evening should be spent enjoying a delicious 3 course dinner and convivial company. Before retiring, there is normally a wonderful clear sky and stars to behold, the ideal antidote for the weary traveller before sleeping in comfortable beds with good linen. Children 12 years of age and older are welcome.
