Welcome to the Stonehouse Mountain Lodge, a unique stone and thatch getaway
in the Hartbeespoort Dam area.
The lodge is situated on 50 hectares of magnificent mountainside, and offers
majestic views of the Hartbeespoort Dam and surrounding Magaliesberg mountains.
Guests may choose between the luxurious Stone-Lodge with honeymoon suite and 2
superior suites, the Skylodge with its honeymoon suite and Leopard suite, or the
various cottages and suites scattered around the farm. Either way, you will
receive absolute tranquility whilst in the lap of luxury.
Some of the cottages have fireplaces for cozy winter evenings, are beautifully
furnished, have air-conditioning in the main bedrooms, have en-suite bathrooms
with bath and shower and balconies with spectacular views and braai-boma
facilities.
The Skytop Lodge is situated at the top of the hill and offers unrivalled views
over the dam and mountain range.
The Skytop Honeymoon suite and the Leopard suite have spa baths in spacious
bathrooms.
The Skytop Lodge is available to guests either as a complete unit sleeping 14
people (6 double rooms and a 7th room with 2 x single beds) and 6 bathrooms (5
en-suite and 1 sharing), or available to 2 separate guests in the Honeymoon and
Leopard Suites. Both suites have separate entrances on either side of the lodge
and patios which lead out to the pool and fabulous sundeck and boma-braais.
Our new upmarket Stone-Suites are suitable for romantic getaways or conference
delegates, and have en-suite spa baths. They are situated within walking
distance of the Wild Monkey Tree venue, tuck shop and swimming pool.
We are found only 45 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Sandton and Pretoria
on route to Sun City and the Pilanesberg National Park.
Facilities:
We offer the following facilities on the farm:
- Hiking the gorge and surrounding mountains on the farm
- Mountain Bikes to hire - R 150 per bike per 3 hours
- Guided Quad Bike trails - advanced or beginner trails - R275 per bike
per hour at the lodge - Alternatively we also offer a 1 and 2 hour eco game
viewing trail on a hereby farm, which is a fantastic experience - Please
book at the curio shop
- Archery - R 100 per hour
- Bird watching
- Or simply lazing the day away or enjoying sundowners on our amazing
sundecks
We have a wonderful central venue with a big screen TV, fully licensed bar
and sun deck. Please feel free to join us at the venue at any time. We usually
arrange a get together during all prominent sporting events at this popular
venue.
Most units are equipped with the DSTV hotel package which includes M-Net, MM1,
MMII, SABC 1,2,3, E-TV and the Supersport channels.
