Summer Place is a beachfront apartment complex situated about 100 km south of
Shelly Beach
is a seaside resort town on the south coast of KwaZulu Natal, an area renowned
for it's all-year round temperate climate.
View and Complex Facilities
Rolling lawns lead down to the pool and well maintained braai area. Sit on
the stoep at no 16 and look out to sea. The complex have it's own beach access
and is walking distance from the Sonny Evans Small craft harbour. There is a
special children's play area in the complex with a jungle gym.
The Unit
No 16 is a ground floor unit. It has an excellent kitchen and eating area, with
microwave , conventional oven and fridge, fully equipped for 5 people. There is
also a chest deep freezer for all the big fish you caught! The unit has a lounge
and a spacious stoep with comfortable seating . There is a main bedroom with en suite
bathroom, a second bedroom with two single beds and a second bathroom. Both
bedrooms and the lounge is equipped with televisions. Some DStv channels are
available through the complex. There is no need to bring your own DStv card.
Guests need only bring bath and beach towels.
The unit is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Secure
parking reserved for no 16 located at its entrance is available.
Security
Summer Place complex is access controlled and has security guards on duty at
night all year round and 24 hours a day during high season. Unit has security
doors and burglar bars.
Shopping
Summer Place is situated within walking distance from the Spar and the Shelly
Shopping Centre which boasts most large department stores, restaurants and a
cinema complex. The Hibiscus Mall is 3 km away and the Wild Coast Casino 35
minutes away.
Swimming
Cool off in the complex pool or use one of Kwa-Zulu Natal South Coasts' many
beaches. You can swim in front of Summer Place (no lifeguards on duty) or
utilize the tidal pool on the beach. The closest swimming beach with lifeguards
are St. Michaels, 4 km road or a pleasant 20 minute stroll along the beach. The
beach in front of Summer Place has millions of tiny shells and lots of rock
pools to be explored.
Small Craft Harbour
The Sonny Evans Small Craft Harbour is situated next to Summer Place and offers
fishing, scuba diving and pleasure trips to go dolphin spotting.
Golf
Kwa Zulu Natal's south coast is a golfer's paradise with seven professional golf
courses.
