This tastefully furnished ground floor apartment, sleeping maximum 6 people,
enjoys sea views and the constant sound of the ocean from your own private
garden and patio. The apartment is in the sought after resort-like complex of
Surfside which is situated up on the hill within reasonable walking distance
from Umdloti village and beach.
The main bedroom has a view of the ocean from your King size bed. The modern
en-suite bathroom has both a shower and large corner bath. The Second bedroom,
with its Queen bed shares the Second full bathroom, shower and bath, with the
Third bedroom that has twin 3/4 beds. The apartment has ducted air conditioning
through out with added ceiling fans should you prefer.
In the Lounge you will find full satellite TV and a DVD player in the home
theatre system. The Kitchen is fully fitted and equipped which includes a
microwave and dishwasher. A daily cleaning service can be arranged at an
additional cost.
There are unallocated parking bays on site on a first-come basis. The lock-up
garage is available for Peak Season only i.e. Christmas & Easter. The complex is very
secure with electric fencing, excellent 24 hour security guards on site at the
entry/exit booms and is radio-linked to a security company.
Surfside is a child's haven boasting a hotel size swimming pool with an
adjoining baby paddling pool. Unfortunately no swimming towels are provided. The
complex has a well maintained tennis court, so don't forget your rackets and
tennis balls, and also features a volley ball field where children can enjoy
cricket, soccer and other games. There is a magnificent communal entertainment
deck, adjacent to the pool area, with sun chairs, tables and braai/barbeque area
for the serious socialiser.
Umdloti village is very well serviced with two Supermarkets, Post Office,
Filling Station, Chemist, Liquor Stores and Laundromat. It also has 4 popular
restaurants, plus a coffee shop, takeaway and a pizzeria.
Umdloti has three beaches with life guards, a natural tidal pool for safe
swimming and many rock pools filled with ocean life. It is a popular spot for
surfers and particularly kiteboarders that often use the lagoon as a training
pool.
Gambling is 5 minutes away at Sibaya Casino and there are more than half a dozen
excellent golf courses in the vicinity. For the shopaholics, the largest
shopping centre in the southern hemisphere, Gateway with its cinemas, theatre
and many restaurants, is a mere 8 minutes away in Umhlanga Ridge.
King Shaka International Airport is a 10 minute drive from Umdloti. However,
there is no aircraft noise because we are outside of the flight paths.
