Town is definitely the place to stay.
This B&B is built on old fashioned ideals and modern age comfort. At Talk of the
Town we believe in high quality service and affordable luxury accommodation. The
Guest house also consist of a bakery, coffee shop and curious hop.
Accommodation:
Rooms are serviced daily and the standard of cleanliness is high grade. Laundry
facilities is also available @ extra cost. Rooms also offer tea & coffee making
facilities, Each room has a double bed or can be configured with two generous
single beds upon request. The on-suite bathrooms each have their own large and
fluffy towels as well as a luxurious range of bath gels, shampoos, soaps and
other treats.
Breakfast is served in the dining room or on the stoep from 7:30am through to
10:00am. It consist of an extensive cold buffet including fruit juice, yogurt,
cheeses, home made bread and jams or/and a hot breakfast including eggs, bacon,
sausages, tomatoes, warm home made bread and bottomless coffee and tea. We also
provide, to those who prefer, a cereal breakfast.
The Guest house was build in the early 1900's and is restored to perfection. One
can relax in the very comfortable lounge while reading the newspaper, magazines,
books or watch television.
Van Rhynsdorp is the ideal overnight stop on the N7 between Cape Town and
Namibia. Activities and sights in and around Van Rhynsdorp include the Latsky
Radio Museum, various bushman paintings in the Gifberg area, the old Goal next
to the Van Rhijn Museum, birdwatching - black eagles at the Waterval and the
biggest succulent nursery in the southern hemisphere.
