The Courtyard is situated at the entrance to the beautiful Free State town of Clarens.

Four apartments are located on the first floor of The Barn Centre just as you enter the town. Our rooms are all equipped for guests who wish to stay on a self catering basis, and the café downstairs is available for breakfast for those who wish to do things on a B&B basis. All linen and towels are supplied and they are serviced daily.

The apartments we have are as follows:

Room 1 - Family Unit:
A double bed in a separate bedroom and two single beds between the living area and kitchen. The bathroom has a shower only (no bath). Electric blankets are on all the beds, and there is under floor heating through out the apartment.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, two plate stove, kettle, toaster and all the crockery and cutlery you would need for your stay.

The lounge has a TV with limited DSTV coverage (B&B Bouquet), and an open fireplace for those chilly winter nights.

A small balcony provides you with a lovely space to sit and enjoy the views over Clarens and Mount Horeb.

Room 2 - 2 Sleeper:
Room 2 has a double bed in a separate bedroom with the bathroom off the living area. The bathroom has a shower only (no bath). There is an electric blanket on the bed.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, two plate stove, kettle, toaster and all the crockery and cutlery you would need for your stay.

The lounge has a TV with limited DSTV coverage (B&B Bouquet), and an open fireplace for those chilly winter nights.

A small balcony provides you with a lovely space to sit and enjoy the views over Clarens and Mount Horeb.

Room 3 - Bachelor/Honeymoon Suite:
This room is an open plan suite with a double bed, kitchenette (microwave and an electric 2 plate stove on which to cook) and lounge all in one.

This tastefully furnished and decorated apartment also has an open fireplace, TV with DSTV (B&B Bouquet) and a balcony overlooking Mount Horeb. The bed is fitted with an electric blanket. The bathroom has a shower only (no bath).

Room 4 - Family Suite:
This family room has 2 separate bedrooms - one with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds. The bathroom has a lovely bath in it for those who want to lay back and relax after a long day exploring Clarens and its surrounds.

The open plan lounge/dining and kitchen area (four burner gas stove on which to cook) provides plenty of space for a family to settle back and watch TV (DSTV with B&B Bouquet) in.

Although no open fireplace, the under floor heating and electric blankets on all the beds will ensure a cosy stay. The lovely balcony allows you to sit and watch the rest of Clarens go by.

We have secure off-street parking at the rear of the building.
