Location & Accommodation:
The Courthouse is on the banks of the Ibilanhlolo River on the lagoon at
Ramsgate. The building is about 60 years old and used to accommodate circuit
court judges and magistrates during their duties on the South Coast. There is a
beautifully kept, large, park-like garden with a private swimming pool and
plenty of space for children to play cricket or kick a ball around. The bird
life is prolific.
Uncovered parking on the property is behind high walls and a security gate.
The tiled floor villa has 2 bedrooms - all in all: 2 double beds, a double bunk
(and a sleeper couch in the lounge). 2 bathrooms (en suite has shower, loo and
basin; spare bathroom has bath, loo and basin). Well appointed new kitchen with
stove (comprising 4-plates, oven and warmer drawer), fridge/freezer, dishwasher,
washing machine, microwave oven. Lounge and dining room combined, includes full
DStv. Outside patio is partially covered and has garden furniture.
Bed linen is supplied but not towels. The villa is serviced daily except for
Wednesdays, Sundays and public holidays.
No airport transfers.

- Beach: Ramsgate is a blue-flag beach with a tidal pool. It is a
5-minute canoe ride to the beach about 400 m away (the complex has its own
canoes) or a 5-minute car ride.
- Golf: The South Coast has nine excellent 18-hole golf courses,
two of which are rated amongst the top 12 in the country.
- Deep-sea diving areas at Aliwal Shoal and Protea Banks.
- Surfing.
- Abseiling in the Oribi Gorge.
- The sardine run in winter
Restaurants and Shops: There are many restaurants and shops in close
proximity to the villa. A list will be provided on request.
