The Deck in Umhlanga
The Deck is situated in Umhlanga Rocks and is an upmarket private guesthouse
uniquely set in a tropical garden with panoramic seaviews from the bedroom and
lounge. Both the bedroom and lounge open out onto a large private sundeck with
sunloungers, table and chairs and braai. It is a short walk to the beach and the
vibrant village of Umhlanga Rocks where there are many fine restaurants where
one can choose from Medittreanean, Tai, Indian, Chinese, French and Seafood
cuisine. There are also coffee shops,a Woolworths, pubs, and various takeaway
outlets.
The rooms have celing fans and are airconditioned and have tv with additional
mnet and dstv channel, in the bedroom.The ensuite has a shower and the
kitchenette is fully equipped with fridge, microwave, electric frying pan,oven
grill, toaster, kettle and all cutlery and crockery. The unit is serviced daily,
excluding Sundays and public holidays. All linen and towels are provided but we
ask if our guests could please bring their own beach towels.Guests are provided
with a gate remote for electronic gates and their own private entrance and have
secure off-road parking. Guests can park their car and walk to the beach and
village and enjoy all the facilities of Umhlanga Rocks.

Umhlanga Rocks is well known for its holiday atmosphere throughout the year and
draws many local and international visitors. It is a ten minute drive to the new
King Shaka Airport and to Gateway, the largest shopping centre in the Southern
Hemisphere. It has, besides wonderful shopping, cinemas, Imax, wavehouse, go
kart track, games arena, rock climbing, and skatepark . The weather is great all
year round and with our warm seas and safe swimming beaches, there are many
water sports available nearby including snorkelling,dolphin viewing, kitesurfing,
surfing, deep sea fishing. Nearby facilities also include golf, tennis, Virgin
Active Gym, Squash, and helicopter flights. There is a reliable cab service to
transport guests to Gateway, Ushaka, Sibaya and Suncoast casinos and golf clubs
should guests require.
The seafacing unit at The Deck has a double bed and there is an additional twin
bedded unit available for larger groups that sleeps two at an additional charge.
It has an ensuite, small kitchenette, ceiling fan and is airconditioned with tv.
